The Safari is a bush plane kit manufactured in South Africa. It is STOL (short take off and landing) tail wheel aircraft. It is the third plane type that KFA (Kitplanes For Africa) has manufactured. It is not a microlight. It can carry quite a lot of luggage 50 kgs and has a large luggage bay to put the luggage inside. The cabin is quite roomy.

The plane is made of a steel tube frame covered with fabric.

There is a choice of turbo charged Rotax engine or Jabiru 3300. KFA supply their own turbo kits at two power levels for the Rotax engine.

I chose this kit as it had a short lead time and STOL is safer for the beginner pilot.

I will add to this category some useful things I learn't during the build process.
